If you’re after a wedding that feels more like a street party with killer fashion and full-on joy—Emily + Rick’s Brixton Wedding at 100 Barrington is the blueprint. Think embroidered florals, a red suit, a confetti explosion, custom cocktails, and a brass band that shut it down.
This wasn’t your standard, run-of-the-mill wedding. It was stylish, personal, energetic, and totally them—from sushi in the morning to a dancefloor packed out by an all-female brass band. This is what happens when two people say “fuck tradition” and throw a day that actually feels like them.
Emily got ready at the couple’s own apartment just outside the city, surrounded by her bridesmaids, champagne, and… sushi. Honestly, 10/10 bridal prep snack choice. She slipped into her incredible embroidered floral gown from @houseofsavin, a total showstopper. Not a dry eye in sight—except for Emily, who was buzzing and ready to party.
Then it was into a limo with her crew, blasting tunes and singing the whole way to 100 Barrington. That energy? Carried right through the day.
Rick was waiting outside for his bride in a deep red custom suit by @beggarsrun, looking cool as hell. The ceremony took place outside in the courtyard—legal, laid-back, and full of emotion. Emily made cheeky faces at guests throughout (icon), keeping it real and keeping it her.
Once they were pronounced married, they stormed back up the aisle through a proper blizzard of biodegradable magic from @proper.confetti. Hands down, one of the best exits I’ve seen.
Straight into hugs, drinks, and pure joy. This drinks reception was everything—custom cocktails flying off the bar, mates catching up, and Emily + Rick right in the middle of it, soaking it all up.
They also had one of the coolest guest books I’ve seen in ages—a “draw yourself” station where guests coloured in silhouetted figures based on what they were wearing. Pens, booze, and creative chaos? Hell yes.
Both Emily and Rick gave speeches during the drinks reception too, which is such a vibe—low-key, fun, and breaks the formal speech stuff up perfectly.
I snuck the wedding crew away for some group photos and these lot brought the energy. Emily’s bridesmaids were a total riot—we got fun, motion-filled shots with way more personality than your typical “everyone stand and smile” stuff. These are the kinds of images that scream you had to be there.
Guests sat down for more speeches (round two!) and some banging food from @wellkneadedfood. Real, delicious, soul-hugging food in the middle of a warehouse wedding in Brixton? Yes please.
After food, I took Emily + Rick for a little wander through the streets of Brixton. The light was gorgeous, the black facade of 100 Barrington made for some killer frames, and we hit up the local mural for some more editorial-style portraits with motion blur mixed in. Urban love story? Completed it.
Back at the venue, these two legends hit the bar again for another round of their signature cocktails while evening guests rolled in.
Then it was time for the first dance… and what followed? Pure mayhem in the best way. London-based all-female brass band @shesgotbrasslondon stormed the dancefloor and brought the kind of party you feel in your chest. Swaying turned to jumping, drinks were flying, and the energy was unreal. Full band weddings? Say less.
Emily + Rick threw the kind of wedding that makes people stop and say this is how you do it. Thoughtful details, fashion-forward looks, city grit mixed with joy and music and mates.
It was bold, emotional, fun, and unforgettable. Just like them.
