I’m all about this Elder Emo Wedding at Alexander Weddings.

So you clicked here fore an Elder Emo Wedding at Alexander Weddings, you must be hunting for a Newcastle wedding photographer who lives for stylish, music-loving couples with tattoos, personality, and a big dose of alternative flair then? — well this one’s for you.

Charlotte and Luke’s epic wedding at Alexander Weddings & Events was pure magic from start to finish — and the perfect inspiration for anyone planning an elder emo wedding in Newcastle, Darlington, or anywhere in the North East.

From the moment I arrived, I knew this wasn’t going to be your cookie-cutter wedding. The vibe? A bold, unapologetic mix of strong colour palettes, epic florals, and a soundtrack packed with emo anthems.

Morning prep & big reveals.

The morning started with a killer flat lay of Charlotte’s details while Marrime Bridalwear worked its magic with her stunning Jane Hill Bridal gown, finished with a bespoke touch from Corsetry & Couture.

Hair was styled by Kara Scott Hair and makeup by Alexandra Clare MUA — the perfect team for a bride who wanted edgy elegance.

We had two “first look” moments — first with her dad, then with her bridesmaids — and the reactions were pure gold. As a Newcastle wedding photographer, I live for these emotional hits, because they tell you everything about the relationships in the room.

The ceremony at the Emo Wedding at Alexander Weddings.

Charlotte’s dad walked her halfway down the aisle before she took the last few steps solo — a power move that hit everyone right in the feels. The ceremony, led by Bex the Celebrant UK, was packed with laughter, tears, and so many personal touches.

The aisle was framed by jaw-dropping florals from Hyde Park Flower Club and Doom & Bloom Florals, with confetti cannons from Just Hitched Confetti exploding right after they sealed the deal.

Portraits, smoke grenades & golden hour.

After the “I dos,” the drinks started flowing and Charlotte + Luke hopped straight into the Photo Booth. The speeches had people crying one minute and cracking up the next, and we headed outside for some wild wedding party shots.

Cue the smoke grenades. Cue the confetti. Cue the long grass and golden light. This is why being a Newcastle wedding photographer is such a dream — the North East has these little pockets of magic where you can make a couple look like rock stars in a field.

Party mode: ON

The cake by Babycakes NCL was cut, the first dance kicked off… and then the whole dancefloor turned into a mosh pit.

The playlist? Pure elder emo perfection, with emo, metal, and nostalgic alt-rock spun by Beats Rides and Life. By the end of the night, it was sweaty, loud, and perfect — just the way Charlotte & Luke wanted it.
