Paint Works is the ultimate Bristol Wedding Venue if you’re looking for character and alternative vibes. Masie & Tom found it when search for a Bristol Wedding Photographer, hence where they found me!
Firstly the wedding morning began with Maisie surrounded by her girls. Champagne toasts, nostalgic stories, present opening, and a few happy tears. Her bridal look? A stunning Heart Aflutter gown with statement sleeves that brought drama in the best way. The morning was a mix of laughter, excitement, and that electric feeling you get when you know something incredible is about to happen, with the magic finishing touches by Bridal by Naomi on hair and makeup.

Their ceremony, led by London-based celebrant India Bel, was heartfelt, theatrical, and packed with surprises. Maisie made her entrance to Tom’s vocal group — the insanely talented Swinglesingers — singing from the balcony, setting the tone instantly. They swapped deeply personal vows, with Maisie’s own vocal group Its Choir Co performing mid-ceremony. They exchanged secret handwritten notes to read privately later during portraits which was so sweet. The School of Rock handshake at the end sealed the deal before a huge confetti tunnel courtesy of Just Hitched Confetti had everyone cheering.

Guests poured into the garden for drinks while a roaming five-piece brass band. The awesome Brass Junkies Brass Band kept the atmosphere buzzing whilst everyone mingled. Family photos were taken in front of a dramatic black theatre curtain — a perfect nod to their shared love of performance.

The styling was next-level. A deconstructed floral arch by Wren & May Flowers framed the ceremony, then reappeared behind the couple’s seats for dinner. Pink table runners ran the length of the tables, with flowers perfectly matching the bridesmaids’ pink and orange dresses. These bold colours really popped against the industrial setting of Bristol Paint Works. The eye-catching banner came from the creative minds at Daydreamer Creative Studio.

Maisie and Tom didn’t just walk into their wedding breakfast — they burst in to “Fireball” by Pitbull! They had guests waving napkins in the air before they downed a shot of Fireball to finished it off. Speeches were heartfelt and hilarious. Maisie’s dad brought warmth and wit, Tom’s speech was emotional and raw, and the best man closed with comedic gold. Tom was sharp in his suit from Charles Tyrwhitt.

Like a true Bristol Wedding Photographer I took portraits in the industrial back lot. The studio fronts, roller shutter doors, clean lines were all bathed in golden evening light. In addition to some cute photos Maisie and Tom read their secret notes to each other. They shared quiet moments, and then headed straight back into party mode.

The evening kicked off with a first dance that was pure fun and energy — a sign of things to come. From that moment, they barely left the dance floor, in other words they went crazy! Friends and family sang, danced, and partied with them right until the end. Their close friend and DJ Reef Yac keeping the tunes pumping all night.

Finally, if you’re dreaming of a wedding in Bristol I’m the Bristol wedding photographer. I’ll capture the chaos, the laughter, the romance, and the ridiculous dance moves. GET IN TOUCH and let’s make it happen.
