If you’re wanting monochromatic wedding, with a splash of contemporary fused with the traditional – then this wedding at Willow Marsh Farm inspo is for you! This restored farm wedding venue is perfect for couples who are looking to make their wedding their own – with its exclusive spaces that adapt to any theme, hidden away in the English countryside you couldn’t ask for a better setting. Charlotte and Joe wanted their wedding day to feel personal and uniquely theirs, they really set the tone from the beginning – this day was all about them and their love for one another! Which should be the case for any couple planning their wedding – this day is all about you two, and I’m all about making this day untraditionally unique!!
As I arrived in a misty morning at Willow Marsh Farm, I could see that this wedding was shaping up nicely to be an epic day! Joe and his mates were enjoying cocktails and croissants for breakfast (what else should you have on the morning of your wedding?!) and Charlotte was with her bride squad prepping for the wedding of her dreams!
Charlotte showed off her wedding stationery, made by the incredibly talented Junie Poonie, and I saw that she had the most sensationally red Christian Louboutin shoes (Dorothy herself couldn’t have asked for a nicer pair of Ruby Red heels!) – making a statement pop of colour in this monochromatic wedding!
With the champagne flowing this was a very chilled prep morning – getting our girl Charlotte ready for her day! When Charlotte was dressed to perfection in her Watters Boho Wedding Dress, from the sensational Bridal Indulgence, Pops of the Bride came in, emotions were high and tears were rolling – he couldn’t have been prouder!
Junie Poonie providing yet more incredible creations for the ceremony styling! With the colour palette set and the discos balls ready for inspo, the ceremony was styled to perfection with a minimalist, wild scene. Benches were laid out with faux fur rugs, and intermittent disco ball flower pots (I really need to get some of these!).
As the ceremony at this wedding at Willow Marsh Farm was being celebrant led by the badass Lauren Oldfield, she was able to tell Charlotte and Joes story to the fullest – really regaling the guests with the raw and real ‘meet-cute’ between this epic pair! After a hilariously meaningful poem, Charlotte and Joe made their love filled promises and exchanged their rings – meaning we can now crack on with the fun part of the day!
A shower of pink confetti thrown by guests, whilst strutting like rockstars with their sass and sunglasses, really made this part of the day pop as a bright moment (with a splash of pink amongst all this monochromatic styling – did we really think a Mark Horton wedding wouldn’t involve some amazing colour?!).
Schmoozing and boozing soon commenced as friends and family rushed to congratulate Joe and Charlotte. Moving the party into the main bar and some smashing canapes (can’t lie – I smuggled a couple under my beard for later).
Whilst the drinks were flowing outside, I snagged some shots of the wedding breakfast setup – seeing the glasses sparkling in the sun from the skylight was a total vibe, the crystal cut of the glasses really stood out within the monochrome-ness of its surroundings. Shoutout to Junie Poonie for the stationery that was pure monochrome magic. It perfectly played off with the lush greens of the flowers and the dark, moody stone of the venue. This awe-inspiring couple, with the help of Junie, have curated and styled the incredible Willow Marsh Farm to perfection! The stationery, table decorations and signage fit the minimalist wedding vibe flawlessly!
Grabbing the fam and friends for group shots in front the fantastic fireplace meant that everyone was in superb lighting (thanks to the epically placed skylight – always love that natural lighting!), as well as still being very much involved in the party!
Dancing into the wedding breakfast with Madness playing and their hands in the air, exactly how Joe and Charlotte will enter every aspect of their lives, meant that their guests really got hyped up to the max – really for love, laughter and loose lips in the speeches!
With words from the Father of the Bride, Joe and Joe’s crew, the guests were treated hilarious anecdotes, heartfelt sentimental memories and toasts galore to this awesome couple!
After a ravishing feast provided by the culinary experts at Willow Marsh Farm, the guests of Charlotte and Joe were able to get this party well and truly started, loosening the ties and hitting the bar!
As the sun dipped, I was able to drag Charlotte and Joe out to catch the last of that golden sunset over the fields. Taking full advantage of the glorious landscape this incredible boho wedding venue had on offer, we really felt like we were in another country entirely (think Spanish goodness as Charlotte was running her hands through the long grass!).
Charlotte and Joe shot off a confetti cannon (from one of the best confetti suppliers, might I add!) Just Hitched Confetti, filled with red and white confetti – making for yet another splash of bright colour in their monochromatic wedding!
We took to the long grass, with Joe being the ultimate gent and carrying his new wife’s red shoes! Joe and Charlotte were so natural together, filled with joy and love on their day that it was easy getting these epic wedding portraits! Which is exactly how it needs to be to get those wedding photos just right – being with the one you love rocking your way through life!
As the guests found themselves back out in the sunshine, filled with good food and crackin’ cocktails, the party was fully happening as we made our way back to Willow Marsh Farm.
After a Charlotte had a couple of sips of Aperol Spritz (what better drink to have on hand at a July wedding!) they were ready to crack onto their dancefloor. Joe and Charlotte had managed to surprise their guests with a well-rehearsed choreographed first dance – making this rockstar wedding couple even more sensational!
Charlotte, Joe and their guests then really let go – getting the party in full swing, with drinks in hand and party in their hearts. RocknSoulers taking over then turned the dancefloor into a wild, sweaty, jumping mess. I think I could have easily spent the evening rockin’ the night away with this awesome couple and their crew!
One of the most stylishly, monochromatic magic weddings that I’ve had! Big cheers to Joe and Charlotte for letting me tag along to such an amazingly epic day that they made uniquely theirs!

“Mark – you have totally outdone yourself! Our photos are everything and more, you captured the day exactly the way we wanted! We told you we weren’t always comfortable in front of the camera, and I can honestly say we have never felt more comfortable! We didn’t even know you were there!
So much fun was had, the best guys to hang out with on our fab day!
I would recommend to everyone!”
